Rosewater For Your Skin

For the last 3 weeks my skin has been extremely irritated and red, and since I've never struggled with acne (Alhamdiallah!) it is a little worrying when my skin starts acting cray-cray. My chin has been exploding with red bumps along with an occasional pimple or two but I can tell my skin is just irritated and I need something to soothe asap.
My mom is a strong believer in rosewater being beneficial to every part of the body and so whenever I'm having skin problems my mom is quick to whip out the bottle of rosewater and that is exactly what I have been doing the last 4 nights.
I'm not a dermatologist or scientist but I can tell you that rosewater is a natural anti-inflammatory which helps to soothe your skin and get rid of the redness,
All you need is:

  • Rosewater
  • cotton pads

For four nights I have just been taking a cotton pad and my rosewater and patting it across my chin and then with a new, clean pad I wipe some across the rest of my face too! and the redness went down immediately! The next morning all that was left was just bumps which is a lot easier to work with! I haven't had any new bumps/pimples since either, so I am going to continue this remedy until all the bumps have disappeared!
Anyone else swear my rosewater? I'd love to hear your experiences with using rosewater!

*P.S this would work even better if you make rosewater yourself by picking or buying a rose and then boil the pedals in a pot of hot water!

  1. Assalamualaikum!
I struggle with my skin (pimples) and so I am glad I stumbled upon this post haha. :) My Mom has me drinking lemon water now as she found out that was good, but I am going to suggest this to her as well. InshaAllah our skin problems are solved! :)
